Blandford Select Board permanently ties a new state permitting duty to the chair's office.
Select Board · Meeting of October 5, 2026
Blandford Select Board permanently ties a new state permitting duty to the chair's office. Chair Jacqueline Coury abstained as the board voted 2-0-1 to designate the Select Board chair, rather than a named individual, as the town's local government representative under the state's consolidated siting program, 225 CMR 29.00. Member Corinne Shartrand's detailed data-center moratorium review was sent back to her Community Development Coordination Group for further work before a legal review and eventual town vote, with Coury asking for a revised draft "within the next three weeks." The board also approved a veterans-agent appointment for Joseph Henning through June 30, 2027, reported progress on a U.S.
Postal Service lease adjustment, and corrected its posted early-voting hours to Saturday, October 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Monday, October 26, 4 to 6 p.m.
