Blandford Select Board Eyes Town Hall Reorganization, Tables December Minutes

BLANDFORD — February 2, 2026 — Blandford Select Board approves November minutes, previews state energy hearing at brief February session. The board voted to accept its November 24, 2025 meeting minutes, with one abstention from a member who was absent that night, and tabled its December 8 minutes to the following week. A board member reported that staff member Kelly has compiled the town's Finance Committee budget document, which will be reviewed before a joint session with the Finance Committee is scheduled. The board spent the bulk of its informal discussion on a potential Town Hall office reorganization, agreeing to bring the idea to department heads at the last Monday of the month meeting, with Planning and Conservation identified as the primary candidates for relocation. The board's most substantive update concerned the February 3 Energy Facilities Siting Board public hearing on Eversource's proposed substation expansion — a 6:30 p.m. session at Town Hall, with a 3:30 p.m. site walkthrough, at which residents who pre-registered by 3 p.m. Monday could formally address the state panel; the board confirmed it has already filed as an intervener in the EFSB case.
